The Diplomatic Club in Muscat was established to be a meeting place to enhance positive dialogue and cooperation between civilisations and enrich the experience of human diversity. The Club’s emblem features a bird of peace, able to spread warmth to all members and visitors. The Club strives to serve as an inspirational recreational facility. |
The Diplomatic Club - Objectives
- To provide social, cultural and entertainment services.
- To provide hospitality services to the Foreign Ministry and to Club members.
- To enhance social relations and friendship between the Club’s diverse membership and guests.
- To arrange lectures and discussions on cultural and scientific subjects and other events in line with the objectives of the Club.
The Diplomatic Club - Membership
Membership is subject to approval by the Board of Directors of the Club. It is available in various categories
For members of foreign missions and regional organizations in Oman who appear in the Foreign Diplomat Diplomatic list, for the length of their official service.
Members of the Ministry’s diplomatic staff from the level of Second Secretary and above.
Honorary Consuls who are officially recognized in the Sultanate.
Business people from the private sector holding senior positions.
Membership granted by special authorization.
The Diplomatic Club – Location
The Club is located in the Diplomatic District on the western side of Shatti Al Qurum. It overlooks the Gulf of Oman with a beautiful seafront. The site is renowned for its privacy and its attractiveness.
The Club offers a venue for meetings, socializing, entertainment, sports, and cultural activities. Its graceful gardens and spacious Diplomatic Hall provide excellent facilities for official functions and receptions.

A special notice is issued if holidays require a change to opening times.
Restaurant booking is preferably 24 hours in advance. For large events, bookings must be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance. All bookings are subject to space available.
Smoking is not allowed in confined areas.
Members can bring guests to the Club but must be registered before you come. You can register guests by clicking here
Smart casual or National Dress in the Restaurant and Meeting Rooms (no sandals or shorts please). At the poolside shorts and sandals are permitted.
No members or guests are allowed to take pictures or videos either of or in the club and post them on social media. Failure to abide by this rule will result in cancellation of your membership.
